Tree of Life Limited Edition Collection

The Tree of Life is the 11th release in the David Oscarson™ series of Limited Edition writing instruments. Produced in five color variations, each piece is limited to only 88 units (including fountain pens and rollerballs). This particular color is limited to just 8 pieces!

Across cultures and centuries, the Tree of Life has been a powerful symbol of immortality and eternal life. From ancient Chinese and Egyptian cultures to Norse mythology and Mesoamerica, it represents the cycle of life, offering a reminder of our roots, present existence, and future potential. Unlike the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, the Tree of Life is known for its fruit, which grants eternal life to those who partake in it.

In Assyrian culture, the Tree of Life was symbolized by nodes and criss-crossing lines, and in Chinese mythology, it was often depicted with a dragon and phoenix, representing immortality. Egyptian mythology includes the Holy Sycamore and the acacia tree of Saosis as sacred embodiments of the Tree of Life, and in Norse beliefs, Yggdrasil, the great cosmic tree, connected all worlds. The Hebrew Bible and the Book of Mormon both reference the Tree of Life as a symbol of divine love and eternal life, illustrating the spiritual importance of this symbol across cultures.

In keeping with David Oscarson’s tradition of artistic mastery, the Tree of Life Collection incorporates five levels of Guilloché engraving and three colors of translucent and opaque hard enamel. The body of each pen is first engraved with high-relief roots, branches, and leaves, followed by intricate bark patterns, with additional smaller fruit and leaf details added in the final stages. This meticulous process creates a pen that is both visually stunning and deeply symbolic.
