This limited edition year of the dragon coaster is by Shin Kogei.

Based in Hida-Takayama in the snowy north of Gifu prefecture, Shin Kogei’s work narrates scenes from life and nature in this historic town.  Once an important castle town, it is known today for its wooded, sedate and artistic style of life, and its fine tradition of furniture.

Founded by a local artist, Shin Kogei’s shop stocking its handmade products, is a connecting factor to the past - and stands at the heart of Hida-Takayama’s cultural identity today.
